What are the responsibilities and job description for the SBL Portfolio Servicing Specialist position at First Savings Bank?
Perform a critical role in support of the Small Business Lending (SBL) Department. Responsible for the servicing and portfolio management of all SBA loans as well as providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
May perform any or all of these functions:
- Interacts with customers and business partners to answer technical questions about the status and handling of customer accounts (billing, payments, disbursements, and payoffs) while maintaining a high degree of courtesy and professionalism.
- Continually provides and receives cross-training in multiple areas within loan servicing in order to provide support when needed.
- Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports the company’s goals and values.
- Maintains properly documented loan information and collateral in bank systems.
- Performs account maintenance and support on all customer files.
- Perform necessary maintenance with appropriate approvals to SBA loans.
- Assistance in servicing, liquidation and work-out of SBA guaranteed loans (SBA Guaranty Purchase Packaging).
- Collect all borrower annual financial statements, update expired insurance, follow up on past due taxes, contact borrowers once per quarter for Problem Loan Status Report.
- Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant field, or equivalent related experience preferred.
- 3 (5 preferred) years commercial loan servicing, portfolio and documentation management experience required (specific SBA experience is preferred but not required).

o Horizon XE Operating Platform (preferred, but not required)

- Credit Analysis experience preferred.
