Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic
First Rehab is seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient physical therapy team on a part-time basis.
We are a growing, patient-centered private practice serving adults with orthopedic, post-operative, balance, gait, and general strength/mobility needs. Our clinic values high-quality hands-on care, a warm patient experience, and strong teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction and plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercise, functional training, balance activities, gait training, and prescribed home exercise programs
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising PT
- Document treatment sessions accurately and timely in our EMR
- Maintain a positive, professional, encouraging environment for patients and families
- Collaborate closely with PTs, aides, and front-desk staff to keep patient care running smoothly
Qualifications
- Current New Jersey PTA license required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome to apply
- Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patients
- Strong communication skills, reliability, professionalism, and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to provide attentive one-on-one patient care while keeping sessions productive and organized
