What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN ACADEMY INC?
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a part-time position.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (COO), the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the execution of specific personnel-related tasks, for the benefit of FPA employees. These tasks include:
- Timely payroll processing
- Posting job openings online. Screen applicants and forward to appropriate Leadership Team member
- Application processing - references, communication with the Leadership Team & candidates, etc.
- New employee onboarding
- Process employee terminations
- Point of contact for benefits (insurance) companies
- Point of contact for employees - directing them to the appropriate leadership team member who can address their concerns or questions.
- Point of contact for PayCom (personnel software)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll
- Oversee and manage the employee life-cycle from recruitment, to onboarding, to termination
- Comply with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations in their actions
- Provide guidance to employees, supervisors, and leadership on all HR-related matters - directing them to the leadership team member who can assist them
- Responsible for the updating of written company policies and the employee handbook with the Head of School
- Assist with employee benefits and open enrollment
- Maintaining accurate employee records
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, along with the CFO

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Organized, able to complete tasks on time

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

2-3 years experience in Human Resources or accounting, preferably in an educational setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary : $30,000
