POSITION OVERVIEW: 26-27 School Year
The art teacher for preschool through 5th grade plays a critical role in developing students' creative talents and love of art. This role involves planning, organizing, and delivering age-appropriate lessons aligned with South Carolina standards while ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Create engaging, developmentally appropriate art lessons that incorporate a variety of media and techniques
- Align instruction with state standards and school objectives
- Integrate fun and creative activities to motivate young learners.\
- Teach basic locomotor skills (e.g., running, jumping, skipping) for preschoolers
- Foster a positive environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves creatively
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art or related field from an accredited college or university
- Able to obtain ACSI teacher certification
- Previous experience in a Christian school and/or training in biblical integration is preferred
- Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to understand and use Microsoft Office and other computer programs efficiently
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position for purposes of safety.
- Must be able to evacuate students over uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions during emergency situations.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time
- Ability to sit, bend, stand, as needed in interactions with students.
- Must be able to hear and communicate effectively in order to exchange information, respond to inquiries, and provide clear instructions in person, over the phone, and through other communication methods.
- Must be able to walk throughout the campus effectively and independently.
- Must be able to see and read English text to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Must possess manual dexterity for using a computer and other office equipment.
Salary : $32,500 - $35,000
