First Point is seeking a Field Manager that is responsible for overseeing the construction and integration of cellular sites performed by partner crews. This role requires expertise in microwave deployment, site installation practices, equipment commissioning, and troubleshooting of both hardware and software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of microwave antennas, mounts, RF and fiber cabling, AC/DC power systems, radio cabinets, and telecommunications equipment.
- Support troubleshooting activities involving RF systems, fiber connections, and power equipment.
- Interpret and work from engineering documents, work plans, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
- Manage construction crews, verify staffing levels and skills, monitor schedules, review payments, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Conduct daily coordination with supplier teams, verify technical site surveys, review scoping documents, and validate bill of materials.
- Coordinate equipment repairs, returns, and inventory needs.
- Verify site quality throughout implementation; review, accept, or reject site acceptance documentation.
- Approve or escalate change requests involving scope or design.
- Perform and supervise installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance of cabinets and related systems.
- Ensure safe work environments, enforce safety practices, and verify compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepare accurate reports, ensure timely submission of closeout documentation, and maintain communication with technical staff and field technicians.
- Perform microwave installation, commissioning, alignment, and assist with RF configuration at cell sites.
- Ensure proper grounding practices and safe handling of electrical voltages.
- Follow detailed written and verbal instructions and work outdoors in all weather conditions when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be located in the Colorado market and able to support nearby regions.
- Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Must have strong knowledge of microwave installation, alignment, and related equipment.
- Must comply with company travel policies.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Required Certifications (must be current and provided at start)
- CPR / First Aid
- Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)
- RF Awareness
- OSHA 10 Fall Protection, or OSHA 30
