What are the responsibilities and job description for the Items Processing Specialist I - 2nd Shift position at First Merchants Brand?
First Merchants Bank is seeking an Items Processing Specialist I to join our team! This position will handle, process and balance all Proof of Deposit (POD) work for the bank. This position will work on second shift from 1pm to 10pm Eastern and can offer remote work options within a commutable distance to our Daleville Data Center located in Daleville, IN.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry for all tickets that are not systematically read.
- Review runs for out of balance transactions.
- Review out of balance transactions and determine which type of error occurred. Process correction to balance the transaction.
- Receive, process and transmit all internal departments’ proofs.
- Build, verify and transmit POD posting files.
- Distribute information to internal customers.
- Communicate with Banking Centers on basic troubleshooting of scanners and out of balance transactions.
- Process incoming Lockbox transactions for commercial clients.
To be successful in this position, we require the following:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of one (1) year of operations, processing or related work experience.
