We are a well established property management company based in Astoria looking for an Administrative Assistant that will assist the property management team in the day-to-day operations related to the management of approximately 100 residential properties.

Prior property management experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right individual! You must be a team player who has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Duties include:

  • Taking calls/emails from tenants and documenting complaints and needed repairs
  • Entering work orders in database system
  • Contacting supers, handymen, and/or appropriate contractors to address repairs
  • Keeping track of repair progress and following up with residents and owners/landlords
  • Assisting in resolving building violations & compliance requirements
  • Communicating with owners, boards, and tenants in a professional manner
  • Following policies and procedures to assure the property is well managed and documents are properly maintained

Requirements:

  • Friendly demeanor and customer service-oriented personality
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Self-starter who can multi-task and remain focused
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize & follow up
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook)

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • 2 years of office or customer service
  • General office and computer knowledge

Desired Education:

  • Associates Degree, preferred

Commensurate with experience
