What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant (Property Management) position at First Management Corp.?
We are a well established property management company based in Astoria looking for an Administrative Assistant that will assist the property management team in the day-to-day operations related to the management of approximately 100 residential properties.
Prior property management experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right individual! You must be a team player who has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Duties include:
- Taking calls/emails from tenants and documenting complaints and needed repairs
- Entering work orders in database system
- Contacting supers, handymen, and/or appropriate contractors to address repairs
- Keeping track of repair progress and following up with residents and owners/landlords
- Assisting in resolving building violations & compliance requirements
- Communicating with owners, boards, and tenants in a professional manner
- Following policies and procedures to assure the property is well managed and documents are properly maintained

- Self-starter who can multi-task and remain focused
- Detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize & follow up
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and writing skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook)
Desired Experience/Skills:
- 2 years of office or customer service
- General office and computer knowledge
Desired Education:
- Associates Degree, preferred
