This role works closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to support material movement, site maintenance, and daily operational needs.

Responsibilities
- Operate surface mobile equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, water trucks, excavators, backhoes, telehandlers, vacuum trucks and other support equipment as required.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and basic maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Support material handling activities, including hauling, stockpiling, and site cleanup.
- Assist with road maintenance, dust control, and general site upkeep.
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements while performing work.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support daily operational activities.
- Assist with other site services or operational tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate records related to equipment operation and daily activities.
- Identify and report equipment issues, hazards, or unsafe conditions.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by maintaining clean and organized work areas.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
- Experience in mining, construction, or heavy industrial environments is an asset.
- Valid driver's license required; additional equipment certifications preferred.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain mobile equipment in a production environment.
- Strong awareness of safety practices and hazard recognition.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow direction.
- Basic communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced operational setting.
