What are the responsibilities and job description for the Before and After School Teacher (Part Time) position at First Lutheran Children's Programs?
Childcare - Provider (1 years experience)
Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children? First Lutheran Children’s Programs is looking for patient, fun loving and compassionate teachers who have experience working with children ages 5 to 12 years old. The First Lutheran Children’s Programs teacher will help lead developmentally appropriate activities that encourage healthy, physical, emotional, and social development for children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist co-teachers in planning age appropriate activities.
- Foster a classroom environment of safety and respect.
- Perform daily cleaning routines to keep the classroom and facility sanitary and safe.
- Prepare and serve snacks.
- Keep parents informed and updated on their child’s progress and daily activities.
Requirements:
- BS or AS in Early Childhood Education
- Will accept Child Development Credential (CDA) with a High School Diploma
- Will accept High School diploma/GED for the right candidate
- 1 years of experience working in Child Development or a related field
- Ability to work creatively and flexibly
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Experience working with school aged children
