What are the responsibilities and job description for the SBA Servicing Specialist I - General Servicing position at FIRST INTERNET BANK?
About the Position:
As the Small Business Administration (SBA) Servicing Specialist I – General Servicing, you will work with system-related functions required to support the Small Business Lending departments servicing and processing operations. Your duties will include all aspects of portfolio management as it relates to the proper payment, maintenance, onboarding and administration of the loan. You will also be responsible for handling service requests, or assisting in transferring requests to the appropriate department, depending on the nature of the service request.
What You Will Do:
- Perform system and individual loan maintenance in conjunction with approved servicing requests and actions, ensuring compliance with SOX controls accordingly.
- Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to Bank/departmental standards.
- Fund line of credit draws and process payments.
- Perform daily reporting and administration of line of credit draws and payments.
- Manage disbursement applications and controls for multiple disbursement loans.
- Generate monthly client billings.
- Prepare payoff letters for internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with the SBA’s 10-day Notice and Prepayment Certification.
- Assist the origination team with tracking and processing Good Faith Deposits and Refunds.
- Prepare reports for the department on a daily and as-needed basis.
- Assist in the administration of Jira on behalf of the department.
- Serve as liaison between the SBA and Consumer and Business Banking departments for credit cards and banking accounts.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of one year of experience in banking or financial services operations required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in commercial/SBA lending preferred.
- Working knowledge of PCFS – Loan Manager and nCino, preferred.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to use and navigate databases.
- Ability to interact positively and effectively with all levels of employees, management, and third parties.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely, efficient manner with impeccable accuracy.
- Ability to master new skills and tasks quickly.
Working Conditions/Demands:
- Professional office setting.
- Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
- Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
