Closing Specialist
Non-Exempt Status: Permanent/Full Time
Job Summary:
The Closing Specialist will be responsible for performing the escrow duties associated with the closing, post-closing, and funding stages of a real estate transaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Confirming vesting during balancing of the escrow account
· Balancing a closing disclosure form (“CD”)
· Working with vendors to schedule timely closings
· Prepare the final closing package, including final statements, revised CD’s, borrower proceeds, borrower affidavits, etc.
· Ensuring closing documents are delivered timely to the notary for signing
· Update clients and management on status of open orders
· Additional duties, as assigned by Manager/Supervisor/title officers/escrow officers.
Experience Required:
· 2 years escrow experience, or similar
· Title and curative experience
· Attention to detail and the ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
· Familiarity with closing disclosures and understanding of a title commitment
· Knowledge of payoff demands and wire instructions
· Ability to work overtime at certain periods of the month
Education Required:
· College – Not required
· High School – Preferred
Language(s) Preferred:
· English, required
Special Requirements:
· Professional licensing in states where required
