What You'll Do Day-to-Day
As a Senior Audit Associate/Audit Officer, you'll work as part of a professional team, contributing to audit projects and assessing the adequacy of controls and risk mitigation practices.
- Partner with the Team: Assist with the completion of Internal Audit assignments, which includes assisting with/leading audit planning exercises, attending/leading process walkthroughs, and documenting results.
- Conduct Audit Procedures: Assist with the preparation and review of audit test procedures designed to determine the operating effectiveness of internal controls.
- Support Independent Control Testing: Assist with Independent Control Testing (SOX 404) by attending process walkthroughs, assisting with the preparation and review of audit test procedures to assess design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, and documenting results.
- Analyze and Report: Under direction and guidance of Audit Division management, perform professional-level duties in internal support areas, including reporting, recordkeeping, compiling and analyzing data, and assisting with the completion of ad hoc projects. You'll apply your analytical skills to assist with ad hoc projects.
- Foster Collaboration: Work cooperatively with others and contribute to the audit team.
Work Location & Requirements
- Location: Hybrid work option available.
- Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related business field, or related work experience (e.g., compliance, risk management, wealth management and internal controls).
- Relevant work experience within internal and/or external auditing for the minimum duration based on levels as follows: three to five years for Senior Audit Associate and five to six years for Audit Officer
- Preferred Experience & Certifications:
- Certification as CIA, CAMS, CAFP, CRCM, CISA, CFE or CPA or other relevant qualifications are desired.
- Knowledge of banking policies, procedures, laws, and regulations for the assigned audit area(s) is needed.
- Understanding of the Institute of Internal Auditors’ standards, risk-based audit methodologies, risk assessments, audit planning, governance, risk and controls.
- Physical Requirements: Primarily involves sitting and using general office equipment, including a micro-computer and personal computer. May occasionally involve lifting up to 10 lbs. Rarely requires inter-island or long-distance travel.
The annual salary range for this role is $61,500-$91,500 per year commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position (Senior Audit Associate/Audit Officer) that aligns with their experience.
