First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Deposit Operations Officer & Assistant Manager to join the EOS – Loss Prevention & Recovery Team. In this role, you will primarily works with the Department Manager to manage EOS - Service Center, Loss Prevention, and Retirement Savings operations. Responsible for managing and maintaining people assets, financial assets, operational functions and financial budgeting responsibilities for EOS – Service Center, EOS Loss Prevention, EOS Retirement Savings and other areas as assigned while managing and monitoring department risk, regulatory impacts and compliance to all bank standards. Ensures the departments are committed to working in tandem with the branches and departments to provide excellent customer service and ensures accuracy when processing all back office tasks for the branches.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; or combination of education and equivalent work experience required
- Three (3) years of experience in banking and minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required
- Knowledge of branch operations highly desired preferred
- Knowledge of second day operations, such as check processing of Overdrafts, Return Items, Adjustments, Closed for Cause, Recoveries, IRA Products, and Fraud Detection Review highly desired preferred
- Excellent management skills
- Able to plan, organize and budget
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to handle confidential matters judiciously
- Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have good analytical comprehension and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and accurately under strict deadlines
- Must be able to work and make decisions independently
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Office and PowerPoint
- 10 key by touch
- Must be highly motivated
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary)
Compensation:
The annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000/per year; commensurate with experience.
