What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Representative I position at FIRST FLIGHT FEDERAL CU?
At First Flight Credit Union, we’re more than a financial institution — we’re a team that helps people take off toward financial success. Every interaction matters here. We believe in showing CARE — for our members, our coworkers, and our communities.
As a Member Service Representative I, you’ll be on the front line of this mission. You’ll build genuine relationships with members, help them navigate financial needs, and offer solutions that make their lives easier. You’ll open and maintain accounts, process everyday transactions, and lend a hand to teammates on the teller line when needed. Most of all, you’ll bring empathy, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to every member conversation.
What You’ll Do
Welcome and assist members with opening and closing deposit accounts while ensuring accuracy in all documentation.
Support members with account maintenance, inquiries, and servicing needs — both in person and through phone or electronic communication.
Handle transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and other banking functions.
Listen actively to understand each member’s goals and recommend products and services that truly fit their needs.
Assist members who experience fraud or card disputes with care, accuracy, and professionalism.
Maintain compliance and attention to detail in all records, forms, and account documentation.
Serve as Vault Custodian as needed and provide support wherever your team requires it.
What You Bring
At least one year of customer service or administrative experience (financial services experience is a plus, not a must).
A genuine desire to help others succeed — you see challenges as opportunities to support and solve.
Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
Solid organization and time management skills — you keep things running smoothly even on busy days.
Comfort with technology, including Windows-based systems and digital communication tools.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
How You Work
We’re looking for someone who embodies our values of teamwork, care, and accountability:
You see service as more than transactions — it’s about building relationships.
You’re dependable, adaptable, and motivated by doing what’s right for our members.
You enjoy working in a collaborative environment where everyone succeeds together.
You balance accuracy with warmth and treat every member and coworker with respect.
Why You’ll Love It Here
You’ll join a close-knit, mission-driven team that celebrates wins together.
You’ll grow your financial knowledge while helping others achieve their goals.
You’ll make a real difference — every day — in the financial wellbeing of our members.
