What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Teller position at First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Bath?
First Federal Savings is looking for a Full-Time Teller to join our team at our Front Street location in Bath.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, friendly, and comfortable working directly with customers in a busy branch environment. Teller experience is a plus, but just as important is someone who is accurate, willing to learn, and enjoys being part of a team.
This is a full-time position, and Saturday availability is required as scheduled.
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers at our Front Street branch.
- Process customer deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and other teller transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, checks, and other financial instruments while following established procedures and controls.
- Balance daily transactions and cash totals accurately.
- Assist customers with account needs, including new accounts and account maintenance.
- Process money orders, treasurer checks, stop payments, and other teller functions.
- Assist with vault responsibilities, including receiving and disbursing cash, balancing, and supporting cash and ATM orders as needed.
- Recognize customer needs and make appropriate referrals to other members of the Bank team.
- Assist teammates during high-volume periods and other branch needs.
- Follow Bank policies, procedures, security requirements, and established operational controls.
- Help create a welcoming, helpful experience for customers and coworkers.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous teller, banking, cash-handling, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to learn Bank products, services, systems, and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Availability to work Saturdays as scheduled.
