Essential Functions
Is responsible for potentially suspicious activity investigations and related processes including, but not limited to:
- Create and monitor daily reports for CIP, OFAC, PEP screening, and ACH description files
- Perform list matching for OFAC, 314(a), and all other screening lists
- Disposition of watch list alerts, as necessary
- Complete thorough and analytical high risk customer account reviews
- Assist in maintaining the high risk customer list, high risk customer list, high risk customer scoring and methodology
- Complete, file, and acknowledge Currency Transaction Reports, as necessary
- Assist in compilation of data for exams, audits, and validations, as necessary
- Stay current on all relevant regulatory changes and/or issues
- Seek out resources and growth opportunities to obtain additional knowledge in the field and share knowledge gained with AML Department Staff members
- Prompt escalation of critical and reputational risk matters to the QC Manager or BSA Officer
- Establish and develop effective working relationships with department and all First Federal employees Special projects. Assist the BSA Manager and BSA /AML Officer as needed
- Provides the best service to our customers with innovative and creative solutions
- College degree, preferred
- CAMS certification or equivalent, preferred
- Relevant experience may be considered in place of a college degree
- Advanced knowledge of MS Products, including Excel to create pivot tables, use macros, filtering, and sorting.
- Advanced knowledge of effective internet search techniques
- Advanced knowledge of MS Products; including Excel to create pivot tables, use macros, filtering, and sorting
- Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with AML Manager and/or Fiserv programs a plus
- Demonstrated use of analysis and professional judgment, quality control and high standards
- Proven track record of meeting processing targets
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to draw logical conclusions
- Excellent analytical, judgement, and research skills
- Ability to multi-task with the ability to manage personal workload
- Team player
- Extended hours sitting and performing computer tasks may be required
