What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant or Lead Toddler/Preschool Teacher position at First Congregational Church of Littleton-Shining Lights Learning Center?
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
Experience:
- Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or toddler care setting is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
- Ability to educate and engage young children through creative and interactive methods
- Experience in infant care, babysitting, or special education is a plus
- First aid certification is desirable
