Position Overview
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the origination, underwriting, and closing of agricultural and commercial loans while ensuring compliance with Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
- Build relationships with business and agricultural members by providing exceptional service, identifying financial solutions, and supporting business development efforts.
- Assist with financial analysis, credit underwriting, and loan presentations by evaluating financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and repayment capacity.
- Partner with lending team members to identify risks, structure loan terms, prepare documentation, and support the loan approval and closing process.
- Manage member inquiries and maintain strong relationships by providing timely support, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to deepen member engagement.
- Support portfolio management activities by monitoring loan performance, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with past-due and problem loan management.
- Participate in credit training, lending development programs, and hands-on learning opportunities to build expertise in commercial and agricultural lending.
- Represent FCCU professionally within the community and at business events while contributing to branch growth and member relationship development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, economics, agriculture, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
- One year experience in customer service.
- Strong analytical skills with coursework or exposure to financial statement analysis.
- Basic understanding of banking regulations and lending principles.
- Proficiency in Excel.
