We are hiring a Training Coordinator with experience in corrections, law enforcement, or security operations to manage and deliver employee training programs. This role focuses on training coordination, compliance tracking, instructor support, and employee development in a structured, high-security environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Coordinate and schedule employee training, instructor-led sessions, and materials
- Track training completion, certifications, and employee progress
- Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and compliance documentation
- Conduct post-training evaluations and recommend improvements
- Update and develop training materials, manuals, and course content
- Ensure compliance with Florida regulations, contracts, and industry standards
- Serve as training point of contact for employees and leadership
- Assist with shift operations and complete required officer training
REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Former/current Law Enforcement or Correctional Officer
- Military veteran with honorable discharge
- Minimum 2 years of armed security experience
- Minimum 2 years of training coordination, instruction, or L&D experience
- Must successfully complete or have completed:
- Florida General Instructor Techniques Course
- Juvenile offender training (PAR or R.I.)
- Florida Instructor Certification for PAR or R.I.
- Must be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Must be able to pass a drug screening, driving record check and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years old or 21 or older for any driving position
- Proficient English language communication, reading, and writing skills
- Able to meet all physical demands, including occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs.), and performing tasks such as bending, climbing, running, walking, and standing for long periods of time as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in corrections, juvenile facilities, or security training programs
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple training schedules and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
