Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated therapist or substance use disorder counselor to join our behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide individual, group, and family counseling to individuals working toward recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.
Responsibilities
- Complete clinical assessments and help develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
- Use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and relapse-prevention strategies.
- Help clients develop healthy coping skills and work toward their treatment and recovery goals.
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations and help maintain client safety.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, legal, and HIPAA requirements.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, case management, and support staff to coordinate client care.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Current Indiana clinical license or substance use disorder counseling credential.
- We welcome applicants with credentials such as LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, LSW, LMHCA, LMFTA, LAC, CADAC, or other applicable behavioral health credentials.
- Previous experience providing counseling or behavioral health services in an inpatient, residential, or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Experience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of evidence-based counseling practices, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.
- Strong communication, documentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
