Church Office Manager (Part-Time β 20 Hours Per Week)
Position Summary
The Church Office Manager provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the church office. This part-time position serves as a welcoming point of contact for church members, visitors, and the community while assisting with communications, bulletin preparation, and general office organization.
Hours
- Part-Time: 20 hours per week
- Schedule to be determined based on church needs
Primary ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Greet visitors and provide general information about church programs and activities.
- Respond to routine emails and correspondence.
- Maintain church calendars, schedules, and office records.
- Assist the pastor and church leadership with administrative tasks as needed.
Communications
- Prepare, format, and print the weekly Sunday bulletin.
- Compile announcements and ministry updates for church publications.
- Maintain church contact lists and membership information.
- Assist with preparing newsletters, flyers, and special event communications.
Office Management
- Ensure office supplies are stocked and organized.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain filing systems and church records.
- Coordinate copier, printer, and office equipment needs.
General Housekeeping and Facility Support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
- Monitor and report facility maintenance needs.
- Assist with organizing meeting rooms and common areas for church events.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to the office and administrative areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous office, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Friendly, professional demeanor and a heart for serving the church community.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and use office equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies up to 20 pounds occasionally.
