Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Church Administrator to lead the operational and administrative functions of our church community. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations, including front desk management, multi-line phone systems, and greeting visitors with professional phone etiquette.
- Coordinate and plan church events, meetings, and community outreach programs to promote engagement and participation.
- Manage scheduling for staff, volunteers, and church activities using effective calendar management tools.
- Supervise administrative staff and volunteers, providing training & development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Handle bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll processing via QuickBooks or similar software, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage vendor relationships for supplies, maintenance services, and facility rentals to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain organized filing systems for church records, membership data, medical office management documents (if applicable), and other essential documentation.
- Support human resources functions including onboarding new staff or volunteers and ensuring compliance with policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a religious organization or similar environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to interact effectively with staff, congregation members, vendors, and community partners.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and payroll; experience with budgeting is highly desirable.
- Prior experience supervising teams or managing volunteers is preferred.
- Familiarity with event planning and vendor management processes to coordinate church programs seamlessly.
- Experience in social media and web site data maintenance.
- Knowledge of clerical tasks such as filing, record keeping, calendar management, and front desk operations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
