Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Assistant located in Las Vegas, NV. The Safety Assistant will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of health and safety programs, conducting safety audits and inspections, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Daily tasks include coordinating safety training sessions, assisting with risk assessments, maintaining accurate safety records, and supporting the Occupational Health initiatives. The Safety Assistant will also aid in promoting a culture of safety and health within the organization through effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health skills
- Analytical Skills and proficiency in conducting risk assessments
- Strong Communication skills for effectively promoting safety and health culture
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field is preferred but not required
- Physically fit and willing to learn rope and climbing techniques used for arboriculture and aerial rescues
