1st Shift, 7am to 3:30pm

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk who will work closely with production and quality. Must drive forklift and occasionally make deliveries.

Shipping and Receiving Assistant Primary Duties:

• Ship and receive all product through software system;
• Operator Forklift to load and unload trucks;
• Operator saw to cut material;
• Follow Good Manufacturing and Good Document Practices at all times including completion of job routers/ cards;
• Ensure safe working practices are carried out to minimize risks to the job holder and/or colleagues, including identifying and reporting Safety, Health & Environmental issues;
• Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways of improving productivity;
• Record all activities in a timely manner on the job tracking system;
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities;
• Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to the Supervisor, participating in the resolution as required;
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within work area;
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to operate forklift;
• Ability to obtain the knowledge to use the software Epicor;
• Ability to use visually inspect product as it is going out and when it comes in.
• Effective at planning, prioritizing and organizing tasks and activities;
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repeatable task over a prolonged period of time;
• Positive attitude, reliable, a team player and ability to get along with others;
• Ability to identify problems and escalate as required

Qualification Requirements Educational/Training Requirement:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Math test required
• Valid NYS Driver's license
• Due to government contracts, must be a US citizen

Experience:

• Minimum one-year experience of working in a manufacturing / machine shop environment;
• Aerospace, Power Generation or Medical Device manufacturing desired;
