What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care/Wound VAC Nurse (RN /LPN) position at First Care Home Services?
- Following MD's order for wound care and treatment
- Creating, updating, and managing care plans
- Performing specialized procedures (e.g., removing dead tissue/debridement, cleaning wounds, and bandaging)
- Working with a multidisciplinary team to plan skin care interventions
- Performing diabetic foot care
- Educating patients and their caregivers on wound care procedures and preventative measures
- Staying up to date with current wound treatments
- Planning and executing care plans for patients exhibiting skin complications
Must have an
- Active and unencumbered RN/ LPN license
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- BLS
