First Call Staffing is hiring for a Forklift position in the MT Comfort area. Hours are Monday- Friday 7am to 330pm. $20.00 an hour
About the role
A Forklift person will perform various tasks in the warehouse including, but not limited to: picking, packing, shipping, receiving, put away, cycle counting, loading and unloading trailers, making boxes, palletizing product, and labeling items.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Adhere to all safety rules and policies and report all unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents to a supervisor.
- Maintain quality standards as required by the management team.
- Meet productivity requirements as required.
- Ability to operate manual material handling equipment such as carts and hand jacks.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Maintain an exceptionally clean and safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to operate a forklift, sit down or reach truck
Qualifications
- Continuous walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling in a warehouse environment, including regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Ability to walk an average of 10 miles daily.
- Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending stairs and ladders safely and without limitation).
- Ability to select orders and replenish stock.
- Must be able to operator forklift, reach truck or sit down
- Ability to identify items on all paperwork including, but not limited to customer orders, bills of lading, manifests, packing lists, stock receipts, and customer labels.
- Ability to work in a distribution environment that may be noisy, unheated, not air-conditioned.
- Comfortable using computerized inventory controls systems.
- Communicates with supervisors and Fulfillment Specialists.
- Must Pass a background and drugscreen
- Must have a Highschool diploma or GED
