2nd Shift CNC Machine Maintenance Technician
Location: Franklin, IN
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Training: Technicians will train on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for approximately one month before transitioning to 2nd shift.
Job Description
First Call Direct Hire is hiring experienced 2nd Shift CNC Machine Maintenance Technicians for an automotive manufacturing facility in Franklin, IN.
We are seeking hands-on industrial maintenance technicians with experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining CNC machines, industrial production machinery, and automated manufacturing equipment.
This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize production downtime.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC machines and industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and automated production systems.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Respond to machine breakdowns and restore equipment to operation.
- Troubleshoot motors, sensors, conveyors, and other industrial machine components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
- Assist with machinery installations, modifications, and equipment improvements.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and plant safety procedures.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and completed work orders.
- Maintain organized work areas following 5S standards.
Qualifications
- 2 years of industrial machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines and industrial production equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and PLC troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
- Robotics and automation experience is a plus.
- OMRON PLC experience is a plus.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Must be available to work 2nd shift following approximately one month of training on 1st shift.
