What are the responsibilities and job description for the Church Pianist position at First Baptist Church of Marrero?
We are looking for a pianist to accompany our worship leader during the Sunday morning worship service, which begins at 10 am and ends by 11:15 am.
The pianist should be able to:
1) Read sheet music.
2) Practice music for worship service on own time during the week.
3) Be available to communicate with the worship leader during the week.
4) Be able to play a range of traditional hymns and some more modern worship songs.
5) Be available to rehearse with the worship leader and vocalists at 9 am on Sunday mornings.
6) We are a Southern Baptist Church. While such a background would be helpful, it is not required. However, we desire that the person we hire be a committed follower of Jesus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $150.00 - $175.00 per week
