Job Description
Service Title: Teacher
Ministry Purpose and Responsibilities: To assist Sunday School and Children’s Church teachers, providing nurturing and spiritual education for children; to substitute teach when another leader is absent.
Job Description
Ø Assist teachers during CC and SS, which may include direct or indirect work with children (including but not limited to preparing materials, helping children with activities, monitoring children, and preparing snack)
Ø Substitute teach when another teacher is absent or tardy
Ø Stay until all children are secured with a responsible adult who is named on the child’s registration.
Ø Straighten rooms after use.
Hours
8:30am -12:30pm (Sunday only)
Salary
$100/week (reflects $20/hour for 4 hours on Sunday and 1 hour for lesson preparation during the week)
Policies and Procedures
Ø Report to the Director of Children’s Ministries and the Senior Pastor.
Ø Work holidays that fall on Sundays and may be asked to work additional hours during busy times, i.e. Holy Week or Christmas Eve.
Ø Abide by the Safe Sanctuary policies at all times.
Ø Interact in a polite, friendly manner with all children, parents, and staff
Ø Communicate absences as early as possible to the Director of Children’s Ministries
§ Planned absences must be communicated two weeks ahead of time.
§ Emergency/absences due to illness should be communicated at least one hour prior to start of shift.
Pay: $100.00 per week
