Position Summary
Fireworks by Grucci is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, and supporting financial reporting in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Assist with job costing and project-based accounting (relevant to fireworks events and productions)
- Help prepare financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Sage 300 or similar ERP systems preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
