Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Weatherford, TX, for a Fire Alarm Designer. The Fire Alarm Designer will be responsible for creating fire alarm system designs compliant with relevant codes and standards, preparing detailed layouts and submittal documents, and collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and clients. Additional responsibilities include reviewing design specifications, ensuring the accuracy of project deliverables, and supporting the installation and inspection teams as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in fire alarm system design and layout in accordance with NFPA codes and safety standards
- Experience with software and other design tools used in fire alarm system drafting
- Strong attention to detail and skills in reviewing technical specifications and drawings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical details clearly
- Relevant certifications such as NICET Level II or higher or equivalent qualifications are preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems and their integration with fire alarm systems is desirable
