In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing inspections, testing, maintenance, and limited troubleshooting on a variety of clean agent and special hazard suppression systems, including but not limited to FM-200, Inergen, CO₂, and NOVEC 1230.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain special hazard fire suppression systems, including but not limited to:
- Clean agent systems (e.g., FM-200, Novec 1230)
- CO₂ systems
- Foam suppression systems
- Water mist systems
- Explosion suppression or detection systems
- Verify proper system operation through functional and acceptance testing.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot system issues or deficiencies.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable NFPA codes (e.g., NFPA 2001, 12, 750), local regulations, and company standards.
- Work closely with project managers, foremen, and other trades on-site to support successful project execution.
- Document inspections, maintenance, and service activities in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Prior experience with FM-200, Inergen, CO₂, NOVEC 1230, or other clean agent systems
- Working knowledge of NFPA 12, 2001, and related standards
- NICET certification (Level I or higher in Special Hazards) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including mechanical rooms and IT/data center spaces
