Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and salads according to established recipes and customer preferences, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately, handle cash and card payments, and manage sales efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage food handling responsibilities including proper storage, portioning, and rotation of ingredients to ensure freshness and safety.
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing trays, and keeping the dining area tidy to promote a welcoming environment.
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking between food preparation, cashiering, and customer service duties.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation to ensure a safe workplace for everyone.
- Engage in ongoing training on kitchen procedures, POS systems, and customer service techniques to continuously improve performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals through effective upselling strategies while maintaining a positive attitude.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong skills in food handling, sanitation practices, and adhering to safety standards are essential for success in this role.
- Experience in cashiering or retail math helps in managing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team environment are highly valued.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory management are necessary.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene practices ensures compliance with health standards.
