Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation are top-notch.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Upsell menu items and suggest add-ons to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handle cash transactions accurately, and manage POS systems with confidence.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food prep areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and packaging materials as needed to keep the operation running smoothly.
- Assist with food handling duties including slicing, assembling ingredients, and packaging orders swiftly in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment.
- Support team members by bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation standards, and kitchen operations to uphold health regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy hours while managing time effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided.
- Experience working in quick service restaurants or cafes will help you excel in this fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills including retail math are essential for cash handling, order accuracy, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is highly desirable.
