Firefly is building the defining physical AI company of the next decade, starting with safety.
We believe safety is the most important problem facing America today. Every school, hospital, hotel, workplace, and public venue relies on a patchwork of disconnected systems to understand and protect the people inside them. Most were built decades ago, rarely work together, and leave organizations operating without a real-time understanding of what's happening across their spaces.
Firefly is replacing that stack with a single AI-native platform that helps organizations understand their environment, coordinate action, and respond when every second counts. We combine intelligent software with beautifully designed hardware to bring consumer-grade experiences to one of the world's largest and most important industries.
In less than two years, Firefly has grown from an idea to protecting everything from boutique hotels to 30,000-student school systems, raising more than $27 million from leading investors along the way. Our team includes leaders from Apple and Verkada who care deeply about craft, speed, and building technology that matters in the real world.
Safety is where the need is most urgent, but the opportunity is much larger. Every physical space generates signals. Every organization needs to understand what is happening, determine what matters, and coordinate the right response. We believe the next generation of AI will move beyond screens and into the real world, becoming the system of intelligence that helps organizations operate and protect the spaces they are responsible for.
About The Role
Firefly is hiring an Enterprise BDR to create opportunities within enterprise accounts as we emerge from stealth and bring proven customer outcomes to market.
Original thought and creative thinking are the defining characteristics you'll need to succeed in this role. You'll inherit a powerful signal stack and data warehouse that puts our full TAM at your fingertips. The challenge is figuring out how to leverage that infrastructure to consistently generate high-quality pipeline across our key verticals.
The ability to understand the world of physical safety, ruthlessly prioritize your time, and focus on what actually moves an account forward is critical. You know how enterprise sales works, are comfortable on the phone, and can navigate complex organizations to create meaningful opportunities for the team.
You're a fit if you have:
- 1 years of experience in an Enterprise SDR or BDR role at a Tier A high-growth technology startup
- A track record of performing in an ultra-competitive environment - NCAA athletics, professional sports, or comparable arenas of elite competition
- Consistently created opportunities within net-new enterprise accounts across multiple verticals
- Used outbound calling as a primary prospecting motion, not a last resort
- Demonstrated the judgment to know which accounts and stakeholders to prioritize, and how to earn attention in complex organizations
- Worked closely with Account Executives and can independently manage pipeline quality without constant oversight
- Relentless resourcefulness and persistence - you find creative ways to open doors where others can't
Who we're looking for:
The same things matter to us in every person we hire, regardless of role. We look for people who hold an exceptionally high bar for quality and understand that reaching it takes constant iteration, intellectual honesty, and a willingness to sweat the details. The organizations we serve carry responsibility for people's lives, and earning their trust requires the same level of care, rigor, and follow-through.
Above all, we want people who are here to win as a team. What we're building is difficult and consequential, and it requires tenacity, low ego, and a genuine sense of ownership. We value people who bring thoughtfulness, optimism, and energy to those around them, care more about the outcome than their individual piece of it, and take the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously.
This is an in-office role based in our New York City office.
