Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing inventory control, logistics, and supply chain processes to ensure seamless distribution and fulfillment. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, manage a team of supervisors, and utilize advanced warehouse management systems to optimize efficiency.
Duties
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisors, ensuring high performance and safety standards
- Oversee inventory management, including demand planning, procurement, and inventory control to meet operational needs
- Manage transportation planning and logistics using transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean methodologies to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste
- Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, including freight handling, dispatching, and order fulfillment
- Hands-on delivery activities as needed
- Oversee production planning, materials management, and warehouse distribution to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor budget adherence
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision and operations management
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, inventory control, and warehouse management systems
- Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives
- Supervisory experience managing teams in fast-paced warehouse settings with responsibilities in freight, shipping, receiving and dispatching
- Familiarity with procurement, purchasing and fleet management
