What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Fire Extinguisher Technician position at Fire Protection Testing?
Fire Protection Testing is seeking an experienced Fire Extinguisher Technician for an immediate opening. The primary duties of this position include:
- Performing Fire Extinguisher Inspections according to NFPA codes at customer sites
- Sales of new extinguishers to existing customer
- Refilling and testing of fire extinguishers
- Completing electronic inspection reports on a tablet in the field
- Assist with parts and supply ordering and maintaining minimum levels of inventory
- Willingness and ability to test for, acquire, and keep up to date the licensing, training, and certifications necessary to perform job functions
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Fire Extinguisher/Fire Protection experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Physical requirements: ability to sit or stand for several hours at a time; and lift or move up to 50-pounds
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Preferred Experience:
- OSHA-10 or -30 certification
- Forklift certified
- Previous fire extinguisher inspection experience
