Reliable transportation is a must for this position. Employees must be willing and able to work at customer sites specifically in Fairfield county but travel across the entire state of Connecticut is possible.

Fire Protection Testing, Inc. is a multifaceted, full service fire sprinkler and life safety systems company specializing in the installation, service and inspection of a wide variety of automatic fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm (life safety systems), extinguishers and special hazard systems throughout Connecticut and the Northeast. FPT is currently expanding and offers tremendous opportunities to those life safety minded individuals in the fire protection marketplace.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will cover the entire state of Connecticut. Candidate must have reliable transportation to and from the job sites. Schedule includes start times between 6am and 8am, Monday - Friday, occasional weekend work might be available. Shifts are mostly 8 hours.
Assist technician in all aspects of the job including, but not limited to:
- Carrying tools and equipment e.g. toolboxes/buckets, ladders, hoses
- Utilizing walkie talkie for clear communication
- Standing and providing feedback on the fire panel to technician
- Climbing up ladders or stairs to reach work spaces
- Fill out paperwork as dictated by Technician via paper with legible handwriting or use of tablet
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Arrive at job locations on time
- Use appropriate language at all times while working
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance including name tag and FPT uniform shirt
- Communicate clearly with Technician and customers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School graduate or GED
- Valid driver's license
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Confined Space certification preferred
