Description :
Design fire sprinkler sytems according to code.
Requirements :
- Provide Fire Sprinkler layout/design work on multiple projects according to all codes, insurances, and the contracted scope of work and complete permit drawings and hydraulic calculations. Apply knowledge of system operations and follow planned blueprint instructions, (i.e. Architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings).
- Have a strong understanding of commercial, residential, or industrial building construction.
- Required to design/draw all jobs using CPVC and/or steel pipe. Drawings will be neat and orderly, and shall contain all pertinent information for installation of all projects in the field and AHJ approval.
- The designer will be required to hydraulically calculate each job drawn. All lists that are submitted should be correct when compared to what is actually installed. The ability to provide purchasing and fabrication lists may be required as requested by the client.
- Provide submittals documents including all related material data, and calculations.
- Provide clients accurate information in regards to the progress and design requirements as requested. An individual will be responsible for making any corrections to the plans to reflect any changes made in the field.
- The designer must be self-motivated to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously and capable of responding to changing priorities.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. No sponsorship is available for this position.
- Must know how to read blueprints (i.e. architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings).
- NICET certification preferred but not mandatory.
