Job Objective:
As a Certified Fire Extinguisher Technician, you’ll inspect, maintain, and certify fire extinguishers and emergency lighting to ensure NFPA 10 compliance, delivering excellent customer service to keep clients safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect fire extinguishers and emergency lighting for compliance, coverage, and functionality.
- Recharge, repair, or replace extinguishers to meet safety standards.
- Assess sites for compliance issues and recommend solutions, like additional equipment or accessories.
- Install brackets, cabinets, and signage for proper extinguisher placement.
- Perform tests on exit and emergency lighting, noting any deficiencies.
- Complete accurate service reports for all jobs.
- Communicate client needs clearly and collect payments when required.
- Drive company vehicles to client sites, keeping them clean and organized.
- Follow traffic laws and report issues to the office promptly.
Qualifications:
- Current California Office of the State Fire Marshal (Cal Fire OSFM) Fire Extinguisher EE License (a plus).
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean record (required).
- Must be 21 or older (per insurance for company vehicles).
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Punctual, honest, and eager to learn.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
- Preferred: Experience in fire safety or extinguisher maintenance (willing to train certified candidates).
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional variation. Weekend work is rare.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
