Our pastry team at Fiore in East Kensington, has an opening for a morning baking position!
We are looking for an individual with an acute interest in classic Italian pastry and a passion for baking & learning with James Beard Nominated Chef, Justine MacNeil.
Not only do we bake all of the bread in house for our savory program to use for sandwiches, panini and pizza del giorno, we also make an array of laminated pastry such as the Italian favorite cornetto, tortas & crostas, cookies like you’d find at your nonna’s house, custards & jams daily. Gelato production is another focus of our team. Providing gelato & sorbetto to local restaurants such as Meeting House, neighborhood groceries like Riverwards, and for service here in our own dining room. We also make hand painted chocolates and confections for special occasions all through the lens of the Italian classics.
We open Wednesday through Mondays, with production shifts on Tuesday as well. Shifts are between 9 to 10 hours, starting at 6:00am with a 4 day workweek. We are a small team with great productivity as we collaborate and work as a unit to complete the daily production.
