What are the responsibilities and job description for the Platform Engineer position at Fintal Partners?
Our client is a leading quantitative trading firm continuing to invest heavily in its engineering organization, particularly across its platform and infrastructure teams supporting real-time trading systems.
This team is responsible for building and evolving the infrastructure that underpins trading across multiple asset classes, with a focus on scalability, observability, and operational excellence. Engineers work closely with trading and development teams to ensure systems are reliable, performant, and easy to deploy and manage in production environments where uptime and speed are critical.
What you’ll do:
• Design and improve infrastructure that supports real-time trading systems
• Build and maintain scalable, self-service platforms for deployment and provisioning
• Enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting to improve system reliability
• Drive improvements across CI/CD and software delivery workflows
• Partner with engineers and trading teams to support production systems
Looking for:
• Strong experience with Python and infrastructure automation
• Deep understanding of Linux systems and production environments
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tooling (e.g., metrics, alerting)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, configuration management)
• Strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and operational mindset
Salary : $170,000 - $220,000
