What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linux Systems Engineer position at Fintal Partners?
We’re seeking a versatile and driven Trading Systems Engineer to join a team focused on execution systems. In this role, you’ll own technology that sits directly in the live trading path—spanning hardware, networking, application behavior, and exchange connectivity. This position blends real-time operations with hands-on engineering. You’ll divide your time between:
Live system support: Maintaining stability of trading systems, responding quickly to production issues, and ensuring smooth operation throughout the trading day. This work is fast-moving and high-impact, requiring strong diagnostic ability, clear communication, and composure under pressure.
Engineering improvements: Enhancing system reliability, performance, and automation. The focus is on reducing incidents, accelerating recovery, strengthening monitoring, and building more resilient systems over time. A deep understanding of production behavior is key to driving meaningful improvements.
These systems are critical to trading performance, and this role plays a central part in both maintaining day-to-day operations and evolving the platform for the future.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers in an environment that values ownership, operational rigor, and continuous improvement across complex, real-time systems.
