We are working with a leading proprietary trading firm looking to hire a Linux Systems Engineer to support and enhance the infrastructure underpinning its global electronic trading platforms. You'll play a key role in designing, maintaining and optimizing highly available, low-latency Linux environments that power mission-critical trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and optimize large-scale Linux infrastructure supporting global trading operations.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and management using modern DevOps tools.
- Troubleshoot complex system, networking and performance issues in production environments.
- Partner with software engineers, traders and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, implement best practices and drive continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Strong experience administering Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu or similar) in mission-critical environments.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux internals, networking, filesystems and system performance tuning.
- Experience with scripting in Python, Bash or similar for automation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or configuration management platforms like Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, networking and hardware.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting low-latency trading or other high-performance production environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK.
- Understanding of storage, virtualization and high-availability architectures.

Salary : $250,000 - $400,000
