What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher / Kitchen Closing Crew position at Fins and Tales?
Fins and Tales is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This position plays an essential role in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently each night.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and understands that a clean kitchen is just as important as a great meal.
Shift
- Evening shifts, Tuesday through Saturday
- Approximately 4:00 PM – Close (hours may vary based on business levels, usually out in-between 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Responsibilities
- Operate the commercial dishwashing machine
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and utensils
- Hand scrub pots, pans, and other items as needed
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift
- Assist the kitchen team with general cleaning and organization
- Complete nightly closing duties, including:
- Sweeping and washing kitchen floors
- Cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces and equipment
- Emptying trash throughout evening
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting the kitchen team
- Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
Compensation
Competitive pay based on experience and discussed during the interview.
