Position Overview:
As a Solar Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable energy solutions by leading a team of dedicated sales professionals helping customers save money on their energy expenses!
We do this through three offers to consumers in Maine:
- community solar subscriptions
- rooftop or ground mount solar system installations
- lower electric rates through our brokerage platform
You will be at the forefront of the green energy revolution, driving sales, fostering relationships within the community, and contributing to the reduction of utility expenses and carbon footprints!
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Your primary responsibility will be to mentor, lead and inspire a team of canvassers. You'll provide coaching, mentorship, and motivation to help your team achieve targets and maximize their potential. They will subscribe customers and set solar system leads.
Community Engagement: Promote the benefits of community solar programs and educate potential customers about the advantages of subscribing to local solar farms and/or owning a rooftop system.
Training and Development: Conduct in-office trainings, provide training and leadership development opportunities to your sales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and leadership abilities.
Sales Performance: Monitor and analyze sales metrics, track individual and team performance, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure consistent growth in customer subscriptions and profitability of the market.
Sales Vendors: help oversee sales vendors in the region and provide support to their teams, as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, minimum 2 years
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team to success
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt
- Bachelor's degree preferred, not required; high school diploma and experience required
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Compensation:
- Base pay ($40-50k)
- Plus weekly Personal Sales Commissions (involves minimum quota)
- Plus weekly Team Performance Bonuses
- Expected $145,000 1st year; UNCAPPED potential
- Monthly bonuses available
