Job Summary:
The staff accountant at Finnoe Design LLC works closely with the Controller to maintain the financial integrity of the business, ensure accurate job costing, maintain ledger accounts and produce internal financial reports.
Reporting To: Controller
Pay range: $62,000 - $81,000
Detailed Descriptions of Functions:
· Work closely with the Controller and accounting team to coordinate and complete month-end close
· Reconciliation of bank and balance sheet accounts
· Prepare and post/review journal entries
· Prepare internal financial reports
· Assist with year-end close processes and internal audits
· Assist with preparation for external audits
· Prepare for annual financial statement review performed by independent CPA
· Manage Accounts Payable and ensure integrity of job costing system
· Provide backup for major accounting processes including Accounts Receivable and Payroll. Support team members with higher level questions and requests.
· Assist with asset tracking and reporting including implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure accuracy
· Help maintain compliance with internal controls and policies and work with the team to improve controls and policies.
· Assist with various financial and cost reporting projects as assigned
· Work closely with the Controller to support financial and department goals
Qualifications:
· Quick learner with high degree of business curiosity
· Advanced proficiency in Excel
· Ability to communicate in a way that others will understand
· Team player. Willing to help where needed.
· Attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately within strict deadlines
· Self-motivated, organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task based on urgency of needs
· Ability to trouble-shoot and think outside the box
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/related field or experienced full-charge bookkeepers who meet all other qualifications
· 2 years accounting experience in public or private sector
