Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for a growing manufacturing organization. This role will work closely with Finance, Plant Operations, and business leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable accounting processes.

The Controller will play a key role in manufacturing cost accounting, ERP implementation, financial reporting, and process development while supporting the continued growth of the operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage GL, month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, and treasury.
• Oversee standard costing, WIP, inventory valuation, and cost variances.
• Manage fixed assets, warranty accruals, and capital projects.
• Lead ERP implementation and develop accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support audits and tax-related activities.
• Partner with Operations and leadership on financial performance.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Strong experience with standard costing and inventory accounting.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong overall systems knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.
• Comfortable working in a growing organization where processes and systems are still being developed.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Chocowinity, North Carolina.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
