FinishWorks is seeking a Technical Service Representative to provide hands-on support at one of our largest and most valued customer locations.
This position serves as the day-to-day technical resource for paint and stain color development, product performance, troubleshooting, and customer support. The successful candidate will work directly within the customer's manufacturing environment to ensure coating quality, assist with color matching, resolve technical issues, and support production efficiency.

What You'll Do
- Support daily paint and stain color development activities.
- Perform color matching and color adjustments to meet customer specifications.
- Ensure coating quality and consistency throughout production processes.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support for coating-related issues.
- Conduct product testing and application evaluations.
- Assist with process improvements and product refinements.
- Train and support customer personnel on products, processes, and best practices.
- Audit coating processes and document findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and technical support efforts.
- Work closely with FinishWorks leadership and customer personnel to deliver timely solutions.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to address complex challenges and improve customer outcomes.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience in finishing, coatings, paint, stain, manufacturing, quality control, laboratory, or related technical environments.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to accurately evaluate and match colors.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
Preferred
- Experience with paint, stain, coatings, wood finishing, or color development.
- Manufacturing support experience.
- Paint line, finishing line, or quality assurance experience.
- Laboratory or product formulation experience.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical support role.

Work Environment
This position is based full-time at the ProVia manufacturing facility in Ohio. The role involves working directly in a production environment and requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, troubleshooting, and interaction with manufacturing personnel. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided.

Pay: $51,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
