This position provides strategic leadership for instructional innovation, instructional delivery modalities, academic technology and artificial intelligence governance, library and learning resources, academic support services, and a comprehensive professional learning ecosystem serving ASA employees.
Working in collaboration with academic leadership, faculty, and shared governance bodies, the Associate Provost ensures coherence across instructional modalities, digital learning strategy, and ASA professional learning initiatives. The position advances evidence-based teaching practices, strengthens academic infrastructure, and supports continuous improvement in student success, retention, completion, and equity.
This role advances the Academic and Student Affairs Divisions commitment to integrated learning pathways, experiential education, and partnerships that promote student success, community engagement, and regional vitality.
As a key member of the Academic and Student Affairs leadership team, the Associate Provost contributes to divisional and institutional strategy, fostering innovation and cross-college collaboration that advances the Colleges mission and strategic priorities.

Education and Experience
Required
Masters degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in education, training, learning innovation, or a related field.
Teaching experience.
Demonstrated experience leading initiatives related to instructional innovation, academic technology, digital learning environments, or professional learning programs.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex initiatives, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred
Terminal degree (Ed.D., Ph.D., or equivalent).
Leadership experience in higher education.
Experience working within shared governance and/or unionized environments.
Familiarity with SUNY policies and practices.
