We are seeking a motivated and energetic Certified Driving Instructor to join our team and inspire the next generation of safe, confident drivers. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive driving lessons to students, ensuring they develop essential skills and understanding of road safety. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives through engaging instruction and expert guidance. This position would be ideal for a current or retired public school teacher that is Driver Education certified and is interest in earning supplimental income. The canidate would have full control of scheduling their work hours.
Responsibilities
- Conduct driving lessons for students, from beginner to advanced, ensuring adherence to safety standards and traffic laws
- Customized each lesson to the needs of each student’s learning style and progress, fostering confidence and competence behind the wheel
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve their driving techniques and understanding of road safety principles
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, lesson schedules, and assessments in compliance with licensing regulations
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, answer questions, and address concerns throughout the learning process
- Promote a positive learning environment by utilizing classroom management skills to encourage participation and motivation
Skills
- Proven experience in driving, with a valid certification as a licensed Driver Education Instructor Certificate (MV-283 Driver Education Instructor Certificate) Required.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and feedback to diverse learners
- Ability to work well with students of varying backgrounds and skill levels in both practical driving sessions.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle operation standards
- Commitment to fostering safe driving habits through patient instruction and positive reinforcement
